Current Status

An OxIS Stage 2 report was planned for 22/23, to consider new proposals for strategic infrastructure required to meet Oxfordshire’s needs in the period to 2050; it was due to be aligned with the Oxfordshire Plan 2050 (OP2050). The cessation of the OP2050 brought a halt to the Stage 2 update of OxIS. Officers at the six Oxfordshire Local Authorities are engaging with stakeholders to explore what the next stage of OxIS could look like in this context, including how such a strategy might respond to the Net Zero Route Map and Action Plan, energy supply and health issues, and green infrastructure.
