All six voting members of the Future Oxfordshire Partnership are elected representatives nominated by their respective local authority. Future Oxfordshire Partnership meetings are held in public, with the papers published online a week in advance. The Future Oxfordshire Partnership’s Terms of Reference allow for circumstances where a member authority that does not support a particular proposition may opt out of it.

Advisory Groups
Four advisory groups have been tasked by the Future Oxfordshire Partnership with overseeing its major programmes of work. These are the Environment, Housing, Infrastructure and Planning Advisory Groups. They also provide a sounding board function for council officers, drawing on a wider pool of experience from locally elected councillors to inform the day-to-day delivery of the Partnership’s programmes. These groups are made up of councillors from each of the six councils of Oxfordshire, and co-opted external members where agreed by the Future Oxfordshire Partnership. The Advisory Groups have no decision making powers.
The Partnership’s work is reviewed by a Scrutiny Panel with 18 members, three from each authority, and is supported by a small team of specialist officers.
