Housing and Growth Deal – Productivity

Oxfordshire’s knowledge-intensive economy delivers £23 billion a year to the nation’s economic output – it is one of just three net county contributors to the UK economy. The Deal commits Government support to expand our world-class businesses, research bodies and employment sites across the county. An Oxfordshire Industrial Strategy is being developed to direct investment, deliver inclusive growth, drive productivity and innovation, and address specific skills gaps. The Deal will build a pathway for young people to develop the skills needed to capture opportunities in the emerging growth sectors of Oxfordshire, supporting those at risk of social exclusion.

Oxfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership (OxLEP)

The role of the Oxfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership (OxLEP) is to champion Oxfordshire’s economic potential. It was formally launched by the then Business Minister Mark Prisk MP in March 2011, with the responsibility of championing and developing the Oxfordshire economy.

OxLEP continues to make considerable progress in strengthening the county’s economy by establishing robust and effective relationships between businesses, academia and the public sector.
